I know you will think I'm crazy but I would love to live in rural Alaksa,....make my herbs and blends and do Maya Abdominal Massage....pick berries and fish! I have already picked out my house but I can't make the link work so you have to go to http://anchorage.craigslist.org/apa/236073229.html
the old fashion way....highlight the link, copy it and paste it in your browser. Then you can see my little house....just $500 per month.

That is a way cute house...but I'm also a little concerned about the frosty toilet seat :)
Nice little place.
Hey, donna....you are so talented with your blog site-I can't do half that! Folks...link on to Donna's site by clicking her picture! It is a really wonderful site. I am now even more determined to get to Fairbanks so I can go to the store she posted! Suzanne, they are at the same AFB that JT is at, I think! Cool site!
Oh, back to where I was before I looked at Donna's cool site....I would have to have a chamber pot. I am no stranger to chamber pots-what do you think I did when it was cold outside and I was living on the wagon train. I certainly did not traverse out of my wagon, through the circle to the stinky shacks in the middle of the night! But, I think I could cope with daytime outhouse activities. You get a different perspective on cold after you've been here a while. And frankly, I am really ready for some more snow!!
That's a good one!
My sister-in-law Dana lived in a cabin with a two seater outhouse for years outside of Fairbanks. The toilet seats were styrofoam so you wouldn't stick at 40 below! During the winter she could drive to it cause the river was frozen, but she had to hike in the summer.
And yes, Donna is at the same AFB as J.T.!
I think Dana sounds like a very interesting woman!! I hope to meet her!
